Garnier Nutrisse shade 40 Dark Brown, is a pure and natural brown shade that is one shade lighter than Nutrisse 30 Darkest Brown. It also provides 100% gray coverage.

Is This Shade Right For Me?
Shade 40 is best for anyone with natural hair between light brown and black. If you prefer a lighter color that still reflects naturally, try 50 Medium Natural Brown (Truffle). If you would like to remain in the dark brown range but would like to try other reflects and tones there are many shades to choose from including 413 Bronze Brown (Bronze Sugar), 415 Soft Mahogany Brown (Raspberry Truffle), and 434 Deep Chestnut Brown (Chocolate Chestnut).

For anyone who currently has color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 40 (Dark Chocolate) for hair that has been previously colored 30 Darkest Brown (Sweet Cola) or darker.
